Britt Holmström was born in Malmo, Sweden and arrived in Canada in the 1970s. She acquired a visual arts degree from Sheridan College in Ontario before moving to Saskatchewan. She then attended the University of Regina, where she completed both her Bachelor’s and Masters degrees in microbiology. Ultimately, she settled on writing as her true calling in life.

 
 
 
A former professional ballet dancer and choreographer, Dede Crane has studied Buddhist psychology and psychokinetics at Naropa Institute in Colorado and the Body-Mind Institute in Amherst, Massachusetts. She currently calls Victoria, B.C. home.
 
 
 

Bernice Friesen is a writer and visual artist whose poetry and fiction have been published in numerous periodicals, such as Grain, CV2, Prairie Fire and the Capilano Review. Bernice was born in Rosthern, Saskatchewan, and now divides her time between Saskatoon and Hornby Island in BC.

 
 
 

Sarah Klassen is an award-winning author of A Feast of Longing and one other short fiction collection, The Peony Season, and five books of poetry. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Winnipeg. Sarah was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and currently resides there.

 
 
 

Roberta Rees was born in New Westminster, BC, and grew up in Calgary and in the Crowsnest Pass – Bellevue, Blairmore, Coleman, Cranbrook. She has lived in Calgary since 1972, working mainly as a school teacher and now as a creative writing instructor.

 
 
 
Born in Saltcoats, Saskatchewan, Leona Theis has lived in Saskatoon since 1973, with sabbaticals in Vancouver, Copenhagen, Perth and Canberra. She obtained degrees in Sociology and Continuing Education from the University of Saskatchewan, and has worked as a freelance editor, librarian and adult education program developer.
 
 
 

Gail Robinson is a poet, novelist and radio writer, who has four previous book publications – the collections of retold stories Coyote the Trickster and Raven the Trickster as well as two volumes of poetry. Born in Delisle Saskatchewan, Gail received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Saskatchewan. She currently divides her time between London, England and Saskatoon.
