Functional details also make Herstory a Canadian publishing phenomenon which has entered its fourth decade – its handy, compact format, it’s 45 or more photographs and other illustrations, its quick-calendar cover flaps, lined pages for easy note-making, its details of holidays and its highlighting of significant dates in women’s history. Now in a 13 month format, it continues to be indispensable to women across the country.

Herstory:The Canadian Women’s Calendar is researched and written by members of the Saskatoon Women’s Calendar Collective. Formed in 1972 by five Saskatoon women, the volunteer Collective continues to seek ways to make history more reflective of the lives and achievements of the women who helped create and shape this country.
